The schedule board
Time, event and room, straight down the screen. The slot that’s on now is highlighted with a live badge and a progress bar that fills as the ice time runs out, and finished rows clear themselves away.
Facility slides
An image playlist you manage yourself, for the screens and the hours where a schedule isn’t the thing to show. Registration, public skate, rentals, pool hours, closures — or paid sponsor slides, if you sell them.
The ticker
A scrolling line across the bottom for the things that fit neither. Timed announcements are ordered by priority automatically, so the urgent one leads.
Switching a screen from the schedule to slides is one click. Bookings stay put and come back when you switch again.
Scheduling
Updating the schedule is easy.
A calendar your front desk can use with no training. Add a booking, drag it to move it, or import the whole season from a spreadsheet. It’s all in the cloud, so a 6 a.m. change can happen from home.

Bookings
Conflicts are blocked in PostgreSQL, not just the browser.
Overnight bookings
An ice slot that crosses midnight is one booking with its own end date, and it still gets conflict-checked across both days.
Recurring slots
Repeat a booking to a chosen end date. Dates use local calendar arithmetic and clamp properly at month ends.
Rooms per booking
Each event carries its own room, so the board tells a team where to change without a second whiteboard.
Drag to move
Move a booking on the calendar and the change is applied transactionally, conflicts included.
Bulk tools
Built for season rollover, not one-off edits.
CSV import
Bring a season in from a spreadsheet. Handles quoted fields, multi-line cells and the usual date and time formats, up to 5 MB.

What each screen reports
Platform, model, resolution and orientation. Player, browser and OS versions. Network type, speed and latency. Last content sync, when it went offline and whether cached content covered the gap — plus any runtime, video or network errors it hit.
Screenshots and power
Ask a screen for a screenshot and see what it's actually showing, stored privately. On LG panels you can cut the backlight overnight or set an on/off schedule per day of the week — the screens are off when the building is, and up before staff arrive.

Turn on the screen
The player starts on any smart TV, Android stick or browser and shows an 8-character code. That code is the whole setup.
Enter the code in the dashboard
Sign in at app.arenasignage.com from any computer, pick the rink, and assign the code. The screen is paired in seconds.
The schedule is on the wall
Type in the bookings and every change lands on the screen within a minute — from the desk, or from home.

Four presets get you started — Default, Dark, Light and Blue — then every colour on the board is yours to change: background, accent, text, live badge and progress bar. Upload your rink logo and the screen reads as your building.

What facility managers ask first.
A screen and something to drive it. A commercial LG webOS display runs the player on its own with no extra box, and gets remote power control as a bonus. Otherwise a small Android TV player works, or any computer with a browser. Setting up a screen means opening the player, reading the 8-character code off it, and entering that code in your dashboard.
Yes — by CSV. Export a season from your booking system or spreadsheet and import it in one go; quoted fields, multi-line cells and common date and time formats are all handled. There is no direct live sync with recreation booking platforms yet. If that's a requirement for you, tell us which system you run and we'll talk about where it sits on the roadmap.
Yes. ArenaSignage is cloud-based — the dashboard runs in any web browser. Staff can update the schedule from the office, from home, or from the bench, and every screen follows within a minute. Nothing is installed on a computer at the rink.
There are three roles. Administrators manage screens, themes and staff. Schedulers change bookings and the ticker but nothing else. Viewers can see the schedule without editing it. These aren't just hidden buttons — the permissions are enforced by database policy, so a scheduler can't reach admin data even through the API.
The screen keeps showing the last schedule or slide loop it received — content is held on the player rather than streamed. When the connection returns it syncs on its own. The dashboard records the outage window and whether cached content covered it, so you know whether anyone actually saw a blank screen.
A watchdog checks the player every few seconds and flags a freeze after 45 seconds, reporting it to the dashboard and recovering the display. After a power cut the player comes back to the board on its own. If something still looks wrong, you can reload it, restart the app or reboot the panel remotely rather than driving out to the site.
Yes. It isn’t the focus of the product, but sponsor images and video can run alongside the schedule on the screens and at the hours you pick, and every play is counted so you can report real numbers back to an advertiser. Ask us if you want it turned on for your account.
Up to six rinks per account today, each with its own screen, theme and content mode. Multi-site operators are managed in one dashboard grouped by city and arena. If you need more than six surfaces under one account, get in touch before you sign up so we can plan it properly.
